Our take:

This article is a decent overview of the vegan trend from dietitian’s perspective. In it, they mainly focus on potential nutrient deficiencies. They do mention the importance of quality plant based food but we would like to have seen it be much more prominent as this is THE big issue with vegan diets. The vegan cookies and soda diet won’t cut it and will produce very poor health. Whole plant foods, a nutrient rich diet, is where the health pay dirt is.
